Hawk Pride Celebration for 1st nine weeks:  November 3 / 1:00 - 3:00pm.
 
 
SC Governors School representative, Ms. Angie Falk will meet with 8th grade students on Monday, November 6 at 8:45am in the cafeteria. Parents may attend this meeting to learn more about the opportunities offered to students.
 
 
Jr. Beta Club Mandatory Meeting - November 7 from 3:30 until 4:30 in the Art Room on the Blue Hall. We will discuss the convention trip, service projects, etc. Parents are invited to attend this meeting.
 
FCA meetings moved to the afternoon. Next meeting will be held November 7 from 3:45 until 4:30pm in the Gym. 
 
 
Academic Awards for 1st Nine Weeks: November 16.  8th grade at 8:45am; 7th grade at 9:30am; 6th grade at 10:15am.
 
 
Jr. Beta Club Induction - October 10 at 6:00pm.
 
 
PSAT for 8th graders - October 11

Spirit Week 2017:  October 9 - 13
 
Monday:   No School for Students / Teacher In-Service
 
Tuesday:   Western Day (cowboy boots, plaid shirts, belt buckles, cowboy hats)
 
Wednesday:  Wacky Tacky Day (mismatched colors and patterns, crazy hair, backwards clothing)
 
Thursday:   Spirit Day  (red, white and Carolina blue: school colors)  - Spirit Week Ends on Thursday
 
Friday:  Pink Out Day  (Pay $3 to dress in pink in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month: pink shirts, pants, shoes, socks or accessories.) Proceeds to Relay for Life
 
 
Get Creative and show your School Spirit!  The grade level with the most participation throughout the week will receive a FREE dress down day to be determined by Principal Miller.
 
Prizes to the best dressed student for each day. October 5 - 11, students can vote for a faculty member to get a Pie in the Face during the Pep Rally on Thursday (Oct. 12) - vote during lunch - votes are 25 cents each.
 
Sign up in Homeroom for the Dizzy Bat Relay competition!  A drawing will be held and 5 students from each grade level (6, 7 and 8) will be selected to participate in the competition which will be held during the Pep Rally on Thursday (Oct. 12).
