The New Heights Middle School Family believes that it is vital that the public school supports the efforts of families and the community to teach all young people certain fundamental, commonly agreed upon character traits. The Character Program is designed to help youth understand, care about, and act on core ethical and citizenship values. Quality character education helps schools create a safe, caring and inclusive learning environment for every student and also supports academic development. Character Education fosters qualities that will help students be successful as citizens in the workplace and with academic curriculum
