Mrs. Huggins began her career as an educator at McBee Elementary in Chesterfield County School District. She taught multiple grade levels and participated in the District’s Aspiring Principals’ Program. She was also McBee Elementary’s teacher of the year in 2017-2018 and a finalist for Chesterfield County’s District Teacher of the Year. In 2017, Mrs. Huggins transitioned to Darlington County where she served as a teacher and literacy coach within the district. She also participated in the Darlington County Aspiring Principal’s program and served on the Curriculum Writing Team.
Mrs. Huggins earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary and Kindergarten Education from Penn State University. She earned a Master's in Curriculum and Instruction with a concentration in reading from Grand Canyon University and an Administrative Licensure in Educational Leadership from Wingate University.
Mrs. Huggins currently resides in Hartsville, SC with her husband Brandon. They have two sons, Braxton and Landon.
