Hawk Pride Celebration for 1st Nine Weeks - November 15 - 1:00-3:00pm Students who maintained good behavior and good grades during the 1st Nine Weeks will be allowed to participate in the celebration.
Academic Awards for 1st Nine Weeks - November 8 - cafeteria 8th grade at 8:45am; 7th grade at 9:30am; 6th grade at 10:15am.
Parent/Teacher Conferences - November 7 from 3:30 until 6:30pm. Meet with your child's teacher to discuss his/her progress. We look forward to seeing you on November 7.
Spirit Week is October 28 - Nov 1 Thursday is Character Day: dress like a character from your favorite book, magazine or movie: Friday is Red Carpet Day: Dress to Impress: dresses, suits, bowties (remember school district dress code policy).
Red Ribbon Week - Say "No" To Drugs - October 22 - 25 Oct. 22: the Chesterfield County Sheriff's Office will lead the drug dog demonstrations during each Elective Period. Oct. 23: students receive bracelets. Oct. 24: Sock it to Drugs - wear crazy socks. Oct. 25: Dress Down Day Pay $2, wear hats/crazy hats to support staying drug free.
Jr. Beta Club Convention - January 15-17, 2020 - Myrtle Beach, SC Students planning to participate in competitions at the convention should pay their $70 deposit to Mrs. Laura Miller by November 8. Reminder: Jr. Beta Club meetings are held every Wednesday, unless otherwise announced.
Jr. Beta Club Induction Ceremony for New Members - October 14 at 6:00pm New members being inducted should report to the cafeteria no later than 5:45pm on Oct. 14. Any current members involved in the ceremony should plan to arrive at 5:30pm to prepare, as we plan to begin the ceremony promptly at 6:00pm. 6th Grade Band Sign Ups 6th graders can sign up for band Oct 7 - 11. The signup sheet is on the Bandroom door. The instrument rental meeting is Oct. 8 from 4-6pm.
