Mascot Tryouts / September 19 from 3:45 - 4:45pm

Interested in being the Hawk Mascot? You must attend the tryouts on Monday, September 19. Questions, please see Mrs. Kingen (8th grade hallway). Make sure your ride picks you up on time.

Congratulations, Central Girls & Boys Cross Country Teams!

Both teams won the meet on September 13 in McBee. NHMS team members are EJ Threatt, Gavin Eubanks, Dalmya McManus, Isabella Moseley and Lizzie Outlaw.

Title I Annual Meeting for Parents

Evening Session: September 6 at 5:00pm. Morning Session: September 7 at 9:00am. Parents will receive information about Title I and how it impacts our school.

New Heights Dismissal at 12noon Tomorrow - Early Dismissal for all District Schools on Friday, September 2.

Chesterfield County School District released the following this evening: Due to the potential for severe weather that may impact travel conditions tomorrow afternoon, Chesterfield County Schools will operate on a half-day schedule Friday, Sept 2. The school district is especially concerned about dirt roads and high winds in our area. Half day 3K and 4K classes are canceled. All after-school events and activities, including after-school care, are canceled on Friday at all of our schools. Chesterfield County Schools works closely with local emergency officials to make decisions in the best interest of the safety of our students and staff. The school district appreciates the cooperation of our families with this change in schedule. Specific dismissal times will vary by school in accordance with their schedules.

School Pictures - September 1

If a student does not purchase a packet of pictures, he/she MUST be in full uniform on Sept. 1. Students who purchase a packet of pictures may dress down TOPS ONLY. The khaki or navy bottoms and closed-toed shoes are still required. Make sure the correct amount of money has been placed in the packet, as the photographers will NOT be able to make change on picture day. Drama Club Meeting - Wednesday, August 24th

Open to 6th, 7th, 8th grade students. Meet in Mrs. Mary Beth Rollings' room on the 7th grade hallway (yellow hall). We will discuss production of Alice in Wonderland and distribute scripts to students interested in speaking parts. Make sure your ride is here on time.
