Cafeteria: 8th grade at 8:30am; 7th grade at 9:15am; 6th grade at 9:45am.

Congratulations to 8th grade student, Walker Kirkley and 7th grade student, E.J. Threatt for being named to the All-Region Cross Country Team! As members of the Central High Varsity Cross Country, they competed in the Varsity Boys 5000 Meter Run on October 21st in Kershaw, SC. In order to earn the All-Region placement, they had to finish in the Top 7. With a total of 71 runners, Walker finished in 6th place and E. J. finished in 7th place. Packets were sent home with students on Oct. 13. Consent forms should be completed and returned to school by Wednesday, Oct. 28.

Thank you to everyone! The bottled water was delivered to Columbia to assist with providing drinking water to individuals who had to move to shelters as a result of the flooding. Thank you, Michelle Medlin and Janet Mangum for leading the project. Let's keep "Paying it Forward."

Thank you to everyone who donated pet food to send to Columbia for the animals that have been rescued and living in pet shelters. Thank you to Mr. and Mrs. Troy Timney for allowing NHMS to serve as a collection site. Together, we can make a difference.

The key message for this year is "Hear The Beep Where You Sleep."

Andrew Cagle and Karly Kirkley were recognized as DUKE Tip Scholars at the School Board Meeting on September 14th held at NHMS. Congratulations!

Last year, Hawks raised over $1,900 and received an award for 2nd place in collections. Let's take First Place this year! Homeroom competition: homeroom collecting the most money receives a pizza party on Oct. 30 and teacher receives a prize!
